What is the purpose of this document?

At Precision Placements we take our responsibilities regarding handling your personal data seriously and will only process personal information as stated in this notice, unless we inform you otherwise. We are committed to protecting the privacy and security of your personal information.
The types of information we collect about you
We collect, use, store and transfer different kinds of personal data about you. These include:
- Identity Data including first name, maiden name, last name, username or similar identifier, marital status, title, date of birth and gender.
- ID documents including, but not limited to, passport and driving license.
- Contact Data including home address, email address and telephone numbers.
- Financial Data including bank account and payment details.
- Salary, salary expectations, annual leave, pension and benefits information
- Employment history including locations of workplace and employer contact information
- Performance information, professional grading and accreditations
- Next of kin and emergency contact information
- Proof of right to work in the UK
- Any and all information stated in your CV
Precision Placements use Matrix and Comensura to carry out equality monitoring. These sites may collect sensitive personal information which is then passed on to our main local authority supplier, as part of the recruitment process. Matrix and Comensura are third parties and Precision Placements are not responsible for their privacy statements.
Although we use these service providers, Precision Placements do not hold any of your sensitive data on our systems. In the event that any of your sensitive data is shared with us, we will erase this information from our systems immediately.
How we collect your personal data
We will ensure that your data is collected only for valid purposes which we have set out in this policy and is not used for any additional purposes.
We collect personal data directly from you when you register to use our services and throughout the course of your engagement with us. We may sometimes collect information about you from third parties including job boards, CV libraries and professional networking platforms such as LinkedIn. We may also collect information about you via word of mouth recommendations from your associates or your former/current employer.
Our website may include some links to third-party websites. Clicking on such links may allow third parties to collect or share your data. We do not have control of such third-party websites and therefore do not take responsibility for their privacy statements. Our website does not use cookies.
If you fail to provide personal data
Where we need to collect your personal information to carry out our work, and you fail to provide that data when requested, we may not be able to perform the services we have agreed to provide. In this case, we may have to discontinue the agreement you have with us, but we will notify you if this is the case.
Data security
We have put in place necessary security measures to protect your personal data and prevent it from being altered, disclosed, lost, misused or accessed by unauthorised individuals. We strictly limit access to your data to employees who have a legitimate business need.
Data retention and storage
We will only hold your personal data for as long as is necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected. As a recruitment company, we are required to retain personal records for a minimum of 6 years for legal and regulatory purposes.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR legislation, you have rights in relation to your personal data, with some exceptions. These include the right to:
- be informed about how your data is being used
- access personal data
- have incorrect data updated
- have data erased
- stop or restrict the processing of your data
- data portability (allowing you to get and reuse your data for different services)
- object to how your data is processed in certain circumstances
You also have rights when an organisation is using your personal data for:
- automated decision-making processes (without human involvement)
- profiling, for example, to predict your behaviour or interest

In certain cases we may charge you a predetermined admin fee to fulfill certain requests. This may apply if your request is obviously unfounded, repetitive or excessive. We may even refuse to fulfill your request under these circumstances.

Changes to this notice and your obligations
This policy was created on 14th July 2025 and will be updated annually, unless there are changes in our processes or changes in UK GDPR regulations.
In order to make sure that the personal data we hold about you is accurate and up to date, we request that you notify us of any relevant changes to your personal information.
